Jitto’s story begins during the chaos of the pandemic, a time when small businesses in rural

communities struggled to keep their food service operations afloat. These businesses,

often overlooked by larger supply chains, faced challenges like unpredictable

food prices, unreliable deliveries, and a system riddled with inefficiencies.

One moment stands out in our founder Mani’s mind: a customer, said,

“In small communities, we’re always at the bottom of the totem pole”

For Mani, this wasn’t just a passing concern—it hit close to home. His parents, living in

Northern Ontario, often faced similar challenges brought about by supply chain

inefficiencies. He realized this wasn’t just a problem for one community, it was a

challenge impacting small businesses everywhere.

Determined to make a difference at scale, Mani assembled a team of

visionary engineers, seasoned operations professionals, and expert produce

specialists to simplify the food supply chain by leveraging data and technology.

Together, they set out to develop technology-driven solutions that small

businesses can trust, all while bringing unprecedented transparency to the industry.

What began as a simple idea—breaking down barriers for one small

community—has grown into a movement that’s transforming how

produce reaches businesses across Northern Ontario. At Jitto, we’re

not just delivering fresh produce; we’re  delivering possibilities

Our dedicated team of engineers, operational experts, and seasoned

produce seamlessly while empowering small businesses with

real-time data and smarter decision-making tools. Jitto has built trust

through clear pricing and a zero hassle approach, allowing small

Every step of the way, we’ve been supported by the trust

of the communities we serve and the backing of federal and

provincial governments. But the real reward? Hearing from the

business owners we’ve helped and knowing we’ve become more

than just a service—we’ve become a partner they can rely on.

Changing The Way Food Moves

Imagine a world where small businesses are empowered to succeed,

no longer constrained by inefficiencies or inequities. We picture

small business owners leaving behind the feeling of being at the bottom

of the totem pole, thriving in a world where fairness is the standard—

not the exception.

At Jitto, we’re turning this vision into reality by building a system as

strong as the communities we serve. Driven by innovation and a

deep understanding of small business challenges, we’re not just

envisioning change—we’re making it happen.
